Episode 396: The Problem With Clutter

1 Simple Thing Action:
Spend two minutes in your most cluttered area, and then find your least cluttered area. How do the two feel different? Which one feels better to you? Once you start to learn the small differences between how you feel, you can then begin making smarter choices on what you bring into your house. Start small and work your way out.

Episode 397: Clearing the Clutter in Your Heart

1 Simple Thing Action:
Each day choose one activity that is just for you and is self-love based. Perhaps it’s taking a bath, a walk, eating an apple instead of a slice of pizza, or meditating. Whatever you choose, do something nice for yourself every day. The more you practice those small acts of self-love, the easier and more automatic it becomes.

Episode 398: Overcoming “One Day” Syndrome

1 Simple Thing Action:
Grab an item that has been keeping you stuck for awhile, hold it in your hands, look at it and allow yourself to focus and think about it. Take note of what thoughts come to you, which will provide you clues as to how you feel about the item. It will also allow you to release those feelings, and then hopefully you’ll be able to let go.

Episode 399: Simple Steps For Getting Organized

1 Simple Thing Action:
One of Allison’s favorite strategies is to put like things together, so you always know where to look. It’s a huge time saver. So even if you’re not decluttering, choose one category in your home (like clothing) and keep all similar items together. Hats with hats, sweaters with sweaters, pants with pants. Knowing where to find everything will always save you tons of time, and the process will help you remember and see what you own.
