Episode 216: How To Develop Mental Toughness

1 Simple Thing Action:
Mentally strong people gain control of their life by keeping their anxieties in check and are less likely to reveal their emotional state to others. They do this by identifying the triggers that push you to lose control and preempt them.

Episode 217: What To Do When You’re Afraid to Commit

1 Simple Thing Action:
Mentally strong people have a sense of purpose, commitment to self, and are goal oriented. When you’re afraid to make a commitment, follow this three-step plan: 1. Determine its significance to you and your business in the future. 2. Think about the implications if you break your commitment. 3. Describe that ideal outcome. What would happen if you keep the commitment, and what would happen if you do not?

Episode 218: How to Keep Fear from Taking You Hostage

1 Simple Thing Action:
1. Outward attention: the single focus, whatever you are paying attention to at the moment. And 2. The inward attention: where you go inside your head to think, and plan, and strategize. Use these 2 to refocus your thinking and your thoughts away from the fear on to what you want.

Episode 219: Turn Uncertainty into Confidence

1 Simple Thing Action:
Mentally strong people know how to ride the ebb and flow during uncertain times. When it strikes, be flexible. In today’s dynamic world, flexibility in thought and action depends on your readiness to adjust quickly to the moments of need or opportunity, adversity, and change. Action step: Focus on getting that job done.
